Isn't this the point where a black hole swallows us all up?

Worlds collide: I am going to a meeting at the Pentagon this afternoon. The written product being briefed during this meeting was largely developed by another contributor to the blog. Another participant in the meeting is a frequent and prominent poster on SWJ. Yet another participant knows one more of our contributors through work that they've done together on a stability operations study.

Small world.

  1. Aww, you're just showing off, now... .

Oh, who am I kidding? For reasons unknown to myself - baffling and sort of out of character, really - I have been sucked into the COIN blog vortex. I don't get it, either.

  4. Small world indeed.

Guess what the following individuals have in common...
    - My roommate at Airborne School
    - My "cadet XO" when when I was a "cadet CO"
    - A guy in my squad all through IOBC
    - A guy in my squad through all 3 phases of Ranger School
    - A fellow PL in my first Rifle Company (prior to OIF)
    - A PL who lived 50 meters from me in Iraq (even though we were in different Divisions)

The thing they all have in common? They're all the same person.

Kind of a funny added twist: we looked alike so many people couldn't tell us apart and our last names sounded alike.

  5. I'm reminded, strangely, of Ghostbusters: don't cross the streams?
